Intel Platform Security Architect in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

The architect will be responsible for providing technical leadership and delivering architectural solutions for security across various Intel platforms and technologies. This includes defining technical architecture and strategy with a clear understanding of a total solution and key security issues. The Initial focus will be on overall platform security architecture across platforms (client, mobile, IoT) and/or specific solutions for various platforms (isolation technologies, software/firmware security solutions, security solutions for key Intel platform features, etc). An overall understanding of various platforms (server down to IoT) and general security concerns will be required for additional breadth and scope. This could include security solutions in various areas of the compute stack (HW Root / Primitives, Secure Boot, Secure Data, Secure Execution, or application layer links).

The ideal candidate will:

  • Understand how to deliver the best security solution across technologies and platforms.

  • Identify security risks and create solutions to mitigate risk and secure the solution throughout the stack.

  • Drive the strategy, definition, architecture and customer engagement while also partnering with the execution teams during implementation to deliver the defined solution to the market.

  • Possess a detailed understanding of a breadth of security solutions, overall security concerns, and solution architectures.

  • Possess a proven record of deliver results in complex delivery environment.

The candidate must also have a diverse understanding of security across hardware, software, services and firmware. Must maintain relevant and state of the art knowledge on security issues, principles and industry developments. Must work with customers and be an exceptional partner with other Intel groups. The candidate will also represent the Security Platform Architecture team in various internal and external forums. Will develop proposals, documentation and presentations along with generating intellectual property, architectural specifications, and technical material.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with over 10+ years relevant experience. MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with over 7+ years relevant experience.

  • Excellent understanding of security issues, concerns and security solution principles.

  • Diverse understanding of an array of platforms (client, server, mobile, and IoT) for architecture and security topics.

  • Proven experience in leading architecture and design of large and complex solutions.

  • Hands on experience in hardware or software implementation is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent influencing and partner skills. Team work and coordination across groups is critical for success.
