Intel Principal Strategic Planner - Datacenter Systems Planning in Hillsboro, Oregon
Join the Strategic Planning Team in the Datacenter Strategic Planning DSP organization in the Datacenter Group. At Intel, strategic planners are the leaders of product management team to champion products from incubation to execution. Strategic planners drive key decisions within Intel to produce differentiation products and solutions.
The Principal Strategic Planner for data center rack-scale systems will work closely with various stakeholders internally and externally to identify key value vectors and solution requirements for next-generation server, network, and storage systems.
You will engage directly with the world's leading cloud service providers to understand their needs and align with them on Intel's product roadmap.
You will translate system level needs into product requirements and collaborate with Intel's engineering team to drive processor, network, and storage silicon advancements.
You will need to be able to synthesize a tremendous amount of information from brilliant people, prioritize their requests, connect requirements to workloads and opportunities, evaluate and model financial scenarios, and align recommendations to achieve multiple product and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will need mature technical, product, and datacenter systems experience to collaborate with sophisticated customers on future cloud infrastructure direction.
You will need the business acumen to build relationships with customers and other ecosystem players. Excellent influencing skills, superior written and verbal communication, analytical problem solving, and strategic planning experience are critical for success in this role.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or an MBA.
5-10+ Years Engineering, Program or Project Management at the Senior or Director level
Proven track record of successfully incubating complex cross-divisional engineering programs spanning HW/SW domains
Credible prior experience with software specification and enabling for new or disruptive hardware technologies
Experience with product management for large scale cloud services is a plus
Understanding of CPU and system architecture is a required
Executive communications, demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership, and experience driving results in a complex organization.
Mix of creativity and analytical business skills that can get results
Public speaking experience and satisfaction.
