Job Description

Principal Engineers at Intel are active technical leaders inside and outside the company. Activities include participation in major industry and academic conferences, voting membership in international standards committees, generation of patents and technical papers.

Qualifications

The candidate will work closely with various stakeholders internally and externally to identify key value vectors and solution requirements for next-generation server, network, and storage systems.

  • You will engage directly Intel's planning team to understand their needs, the alignment to DCG/NPG roadmap and determine how DSD can leverage its engineering expertise to develop the product.

  • You will translate system level needs into product requirements and collaborate with Intel's engineering team to drive processor, network, and storage silicon advancements.

  • You will also generate/provide input on RFQ's for external customer designs.

  • You will need to be able to synthesize a tremendous amount of information from brilliant people, prioritize their requests, connect requirements to workloads and opportunities, evaluate and model financial scenarios, and align recommendations to achieve multiple product and business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A Masters or PhD of Engineering degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering

  • VLSI Engineering, with expertise and experience of more than 10+ years in Intel and/or industry in the SOC Architecture/uArchitecture/Product Design.

  • Excellent understanding of System/Platform Architecture, Circuits, logic design, transistor and interconnect technology, convergence process and proven track record on bringing products to market.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to communicate with customers & senior management

  • Data-driven decision making and balanced approach to enable business objectives

  • Risk management

  • Self-starter, self-motivator, great problem solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement systems and improving overall design/group efficiency.
