Intel Research Scientist Internship in Hillsboro, Oregon
Join a team of researchers at the Intel Labs/Wireless Communications Research in Hillsboro, Oregon, responsible for research on Wireless Technologies. An important part of this research involves generating new concepts, implementing them on simulation and prototyping platforms, conducting experiments and collecting and analyzing the data to support them. The intern is expected to contribute in formulating creative solutions, developing system level simulations, and conducting experiments on research problems related to next gen wireless networks. The candidate must have excellent knowledge and experience derived from relevant coursework and research projects in wireless network optimization and machine learning, including familiarity with use of deep learning software frameworks. The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to work on cutting edge wireless communication technologies and acquire experience in advanced technology implementations via developing simulation/prototype platforms. The candidate is expected to have strong research ability, independent thinking, problem solving and analytical skills to succeed in the position.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
� The candidate must be pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or related fields such as Applied Math & Statistics, etc.) with wireless communications and networking background.
� Minimum 6+ months of experience in the following:
� Background in deep learning, reinforcement learning,
� Experience designing software using Python, C++, Tensor Flow
� Research experience in advanced wireless networking technologies, e.g., IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi MAC/PHY and 3GPP LTE/LTE-Advanced or NR protocols
� Familiarity with deep learning, reinforcement learning frameworks
� Excellent communication skills & demonstrated ability to work independently when required.
