Security and Privacy Research (SPR) in Intel Labs delivers industry leading innovations to raise the trustworthiness of Intel platforms. Working closely with processor, platform and system software architects across Intel, we define the next generation hardware and software security solutions. We also partner with top academic researchers worldwide to pursue disruptive research in security and privacy.

Current Security Research Initiatives:

Trusted Execution, Platform Hardening, GPU, FPGA and other accelerators, Secure Machine Learning, Cryptography, Cloud Security, Client and Edge security.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Threat and vulnerability assessment of a focused use case such as Machine Learning workload

  • Research solutions that address the vulnerabilities and design and develop hardware and software security components to raise the security assurances

  • Maintain substantial knowledge of state of the art security principles, theories, attacks and contributes to literature and conferences.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, and/ or work experience.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must be enrolled in a PhD degree program in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering with a focus on Security or core platform architectures / memory / cache sub-systems/ CPU/GPU / Interconnects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Programming in C/C++, assembly, Python

  • Research in at least one of the following areas: Security, GPGPU, Machine learning/Deep Learning, Memory

Preferred Qualifications:

� Experience in GPGPU programming.

� Application development with at least one modern graphics API such as DirectX, Metal, OpenCL, CUDA, Vulkan

� Experience in machine learning algorithm development.

� Knowledge/Experience in graphics device drivers and hardware/software interfacing.

Experience/knowledge in one or more of the following:

Computer architecture, CPU, SoC, Chipsets, GPU, trustworthy computing, deep learning, Machine learning security, cryptographic protocols
