Security and Privacy Research (SPR) in Intel Labs:
SPR delivers industry leading innovations to raise the trustworthiness of Intel platforms. We create and deploy the best of breed combined hardware and software defenses that give consumers and enterprise the peace of mind that their personal data, corporate information and IP are protected. Working closely with processor, platform and system software architects across Intel, we define the next generation end-to-end security solutions. Finally, we also partner with top academic researchers worldwide to pursue disruptive research in security and privacy.
Current Research Initiatives:
Trustworthy Execution, Platform Hardening, Secure Machine Learning, Cryptography, Cloud Security, Data Protection for Client, Edge and the Cloud.
Responsibilities may include:
Threat assessments, design of security components, and vulnerability assessment.
The candidate investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products typically several years prior to landing on a product roadmap.
Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal processes.
Maintains substantial knowledge of state of the art security principles, theories, attacks and contributes to literature and conferences.
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, and/ or work experience.
The candidate must be enrolled in a PhD degree program in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering with a focus on Security or core platform architectures / memory / cache sub-systems.
Programming in C/C++, assembly, Python
Research in at least one of the following areas: Security, cryptography, Machine learning/Deep Learning
Experience/knowledge in one or more of the following:
Computer architecture, trustworthy computing, cryptographic protocols, deep learning.
Machine learning security such as: adversarial machine learning, classification, data science, Anti-Malware.
