Intel Senior Bios Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon
Develop platform BIOS, reference code and related documentation for Intel silicon products such as next generation chipsets and processors. Responsible for authoring BIOS specifications, creating chipset reference code and developing / supporting platform BIOS for Intel's CPUs and chipsets. Work closely with Intel silicon design teams and be responsible for all software and BIOS related issues during the planning, development, and validation stages of the program. Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with 8+ years of experience and MS with 5+ years of experience
Strong C/C++ coding skills and experience
Strong Python and/or Perl knowledge or other scripting language
Good experience in software development
Good software S/W architecture and design skills
Experience in one of more of these areas: PCIe, Advanced Configuration and Power Interface ACPI, and Power Management- Good command Assembly language skills and experience
Knowledge of PC hardware H/W architecture to the functional level
Knowledge of .NET, C is highly desired
Experience with EFI/Tiano cores.
