The P3 team Power Pathfinding to Product within the Enterprise and HPC Platform Group develops HW/SW co-designed performance and power management systems for x86 High Performance Computing platforms utilizing Intel Xeon and Xeon Phi processors and next-generation high performance interconnects. High Performance Computing is being used today to meet some of the world's most challenging scientific needs, including: fusion energy, bio medical, and physics research as well as traditional engineering such as aeronautic and automotive engineering. We are seeking a Senior HPC Research Scientist and Architect. In this role, you will lead research on improvements to the power management, power delivery, and cooling layers of an HPC system for better system energy efficiency and lead research on software runtimes for system power and performance optimization. Your explorations will contribute to features of upcoming processor products and an open source software runtime for energy management called GEOPM.
