Intel SoC Design Engineer - Back-end/Timing in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

Come join Intel's Silicon Engineering Group organization as a System on a Chip SoC Back-end Design Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and testing leading Intel designs.

Your responsibilities will focus on the RTL to GDS flow and may include but not be limited to:

  • Constraint understanding, generation, clock stamping and timing closure

  • Synthesis with Synopsys Design Compiler DCT

  • DFT, Scan Insertion, and coverage analysis

  • Multiple Power Domain Analysis using standard Power Formats UPF/CPF

  • Place and Route and clock tree synthesis with Synopsys ICC

  • Static Timing Analysis with Synopsys Primetime

  • Formal equivalence

  • Layout Verification and DRC analysis

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years' experience with design principles and techniques in SoC and/or VLSI back-end design and/or integration covering 3 or more of:

  • Constraint understanding, generation, clock stamping and timing closure

  • Synthesis with Synopsys Design Compiler DCT

  • DFT, Scan Insertion, and coverage analysis

  • Multiple Power Domain Analysis using standard Power Formats UPF/CPF

  • Place and Route and clock tree synthesis

  • Static Timing Analysis

  • Formal equivalence

  • Layout Verification and DRC analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in back-end design and/or integration

  • Experience with the FE2BE flow

  • Demonstrated ability in productizing scripts for use by team/project
