Job Description

This is an entry level position and will be paid accordingly.

Defining, implementing, and validating firmware in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. Developing performance-critical firmware in a resource-constrained platform. Identifying, analyzing, and resolving subsystem and SoC design weaknesses. Specifying and evaluating the viability of complex hardware/firmware features and ensuring compatible software and hardware interfaces. Defining and documenting firmware architecture for inclusion into technical platform specifications. Developing high-quality firmware at all stages of the software development lifecycle. Working in a team environment on microprocessor projects where you will use your strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with various technical groups.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

At least 6 months of experience with:

  • Embedded Systems and Computer Architecture experience or academic exposure

  • Low-level source code development, system architecture, operating systems, and hardware design

  • Microcontroller based systems using C, C++, or assembly language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Embedded software and firmware development

  • Developing a bare-metal or RTOS-based design

  • Debugging software or firmware in an embedded system

  • System level understanding such as platform components, BIOS, OS, EC, etc

  • Digital logic design.
