Intel Software Developer Intern in Hillsboro, Oregon
The Oregon Robotics Lab in Intel's Open Source Technology Center is looking for a summer intern. The expected major focus for this internship is robot navigation software for ROS2, with some tasks in computer vision, mapping and related technical areas. Within a team environment, this intern will take on various projects and tasks related to this effort, including development, integration and system testing.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with concepts and algorithms related to localization, planning, control, etc.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Must be pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
6+ months of experience with:
Agile SW development methodologies.
Open source development using Git and Github.
C++ and Python.
Developing software for Linux.
Hardware/software integration and debugging skills.
Robot Operating System (ROS).
Networking and communications protocols.
Algorithm development using MATLAB and Simulink.
Developing software for embedded systems.
Robotic Planning and Control algorithms.
Machine learning systems.
