Intel Sr. Ethernet Software Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon
As a Senior Ethernet Software Engineer, you will have in depth Ethernet related product development experience. You will act as consultants and provide deep dive technical support to customers in Ethernet product development with remote backend support from division. Significant contribution also results when you act as a product evangelist, program/project manager, and prepare collateral material as needed to capture methods and demonstrate their results.
Key Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide deep dive technical support to customers in Ethernet product development, from Ethernet controller, Driver, API/SDK, to Protocol/Stack, from architecture/design review to power on, function validation and production.
Support and influence customers' developers during all phases of product development cycle including architecture review, feature definition, project setup, project execution, H/W, S/W tech support for go-to-market.
Providing technical training, demo, consultation, and hands-on assistance to developers in areas of architect, technologies, code development, testing and tuning of apps.
Provide training, consultation, and hands-on assistance to SW developers using the Intel SW Tools; evangelize Intel SW Tools and technologies to SW developer community.
Contribute to Intel SW and HW product development by providing tech feedback to Intel product teams.
As system and Intel technology expert, author technical papers and training courses; provide expertise to customers and peer Intel orgs.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems, or related field plus 3 years of industry work experience, Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems, or related field plus 2 years of industry work experience.
3 plus years of experience with Ethernet driver/SDK, L2/L3 stack in switch/router, Ethernet, network communications, Server mother board, etc.
3 plus years of experience with diagnose and triage functionality and/or performance issues. Identification and isolation of problems to application, network stack, drivers or low-level API.
3 plus years of experience with SoC silicon/product application development.
3 plus years of experience in multiple Network technologies (primarily Ethernet or XYZ over Ethernet), project implementation, network maintenance, support, trouble resolution, and root cause analysis.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of support experience to Telecom, CSP/IPDC, OEM, Enterprise system designers/developers during design-in product life cycle.
2 years of experience in development and documentation activities for customer applications and internal API's.
2 years of experience and knowledge of Datacenter and Cloud infrastructures and operations, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Networking, and Storage, low latency as in HPC/FSI.
2 years of hands on experience with lab equipment such as Spirent TestCenter/IXIA, high speed scope, etc.
