The Enterprise and Government (E&G) Group's mission is to grow Intel's Data Center business with Enterprise and Government end users around the world.
This customer segment represents the largest proportion of DCG's overall revenue and will continue to be financially significant and strategically important going forward. Within the E&G segment, Unified, Converged Computing represents one of the most important domains for Intel in the data center - as it is increasingly a synthesis of high performance computing, analytics, and artificial intelligence that impacts the cutting edge of science, commerce and society.
Come join the E&G HPC team as an Extreme Compute Product Manager and focus holistically on supporting the Datacenter Group's solution roadmap - defining critical solutions ranging from Volume HPC clusters to Extreme Supercomputers. Upon acceptance of this role, a successful candidate will:
Focus on specific segment or product lines, defining key product strategies using Intel Architecture.
Define product plays and develop product roadmap gen over gen in order to grow target segment.
Manage the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, working with BDM on visits to customers and non-customers, understanding competitors and industry direction.
Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
Ensure that the path to reliable solutions for our customers is "Easy".
Understand industry drivers, buying behaviors in order to build business case for defined solution.
Support sales in getting design wins.
Drive new product introduction process from concept accept to POP3, defining the product life cycle to EOL/End of Service Life.
Act as key partner to development post POP3 to ensure what is designed meets spec
Work with finance on business case.
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates product in the market.
Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of converged infrastructure solutions.
Ensure right collateral/right time by driving creation of technical documentation required and work with technical writers to create.
Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Ensure market intelligence - understanding how customers buy and their buying criteria; Competitor - is used in roadmap, product definition and GTM strategies.
Work with BDM to develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 6+years of relevant experience in the following areas:
Product management, architecture, and/or design of datacenter server, networking, or storage solutions.
Defining business strategies and technical product requirements with successful execution.
Managing multiple complex product definition.
Formulating product tradeoffs, ability to bridge technical and product requirements and clearly communication skills.
Different business models and ecosystem building.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Functional knowledge of server and/or storage systems.
Possess strong analytical skills in identifying business & technical future trends.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
