Intel Systems Engineer Intern in Hillsboro, Oregon
This position is for an internship within the Data Center Engineering Group's Performance and Power Team. This team assesses next generation server CPUs and platforms using a wide variety of benchmark and workloads key to Intel's enterprise and cloud customers. This includes areas ranging from machine learning, storage, media/GFX, blockchain and emerging datacenter workloads.
Your responsabilities will be:
Setting up and running server and datacenter workloads
Measuring power and performance metrics on single node and cluster configurations
Pptimizing CPU and system settings accordingly
You may also be evaluating new memory technologies for use on server systems and developing new use models for these technologies. Some debug of performance and power issues may also be involved.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Candidates must be pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields with a focus on media/GFX, machine learning or related fields.
