Global Construction Engineering (GCE) is responsible for the design and engineering of all of Intel's major manufacturing and cleanroom projects in Oregon, Arizona, Israel and Ireland. We are a team of specialized in-house architects and engineers in a highly collaborative environment. We work together with our factory, operations, and supply chain partners to deliver some of the most technically challenging projects in the world with demanding schedule and cost constraints.
This will be based in Oregon at our flagship technology development campus in Hillsboro. This position is with our Tool Install Central Engineering team that focuses on the construction designs required to install the semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Our Project Engineers are highly valued and are relied upon to provide technical leadership in their area of expertise. A Tool Install Structural Project Engineer is one of the first to be consulted for any construction or operational issue relating to the structural or architectural elements on the manufacturing tool. Our project engineer's partner with construction to answer any technical issues that come may up during installation and ensure lessons are shared across our factories globally. Engineers also partner with Intel's technology development teams and the Architect/Engineering firms to engineer solutions. As our technologies are transferred from the technology development site to our high volume manufacturing facilities, the Structural Project Engineer will also answer technical questions from our factories around the world relating to their discipline. Partnering with project engineers from other disciplines, the Tool Install Central Engineering team are key in ensuring our Copy Exactly policy is maintained in the installation of the manufacturing tools. As a global engineering organization, GCE project architects and engineers are expected to collaborate and share learnings with other sites across the globe.

Bachelors or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture or closely related engineering field.
Experience in industrial, semiconductor, and cleanroom projects is preferred.
Technical writing (e.g. specifications, white papers)
Reading and interpreting construction contract documents
Familiarity with CAD and BIM (3D modeling)
Written, visual and verbal communication skills - especially in communicating technical issues
Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines, organizations and geographic boundaries.
Highly team and quality oriented
