Intel Software Developer on Analysis Tools in Hudson, Massachusetts
The Developer will work on design and implementation of low level software for a new architecture, developing and evaluating software technology in conjunction with work the underlying system. This position will specifically involve analyzing applications performance and analysis tools to develop, improve, and/or create new performance analysis tooling for a new processor architecture. This role is a member of a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary software team working closely with processor core/system architects. The software team is responsible for developing the software stack - runtime support, compilers, base support for debuggers, profilers, etc. The team will utilize their technology with external customer HPC workloads in the target environment through a co-design effort. This will enable the evaluation of workloads for an exascale system as design alternatives are being considered. This position involves work on a U.S. Government contract which may impose certain security requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, ELectrical Engineering or other teahnical engineering field.
4 years of relevant work experience with Programming in C/C++ Prior experience working on runtime support, performance or debugging tools, and performance tuning applications.
Excellent knowledge of hardware architecture and software interaction, and parallel computing.
Good grasp of performance issues of large-scale HPC codes: synchronization, communication, load balance, memory access patterns.
Knowledge of MPI, OpenMP highly desirable, including HPC application tuning
Knowledge of FPGA, GPGPU approaches
Experience working with a range of benchmarks and application workloads to understand tools and run-time support issues
Good working knowledge of Linux.
