Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Center Group (DCG) as a Sr Pre-Si Validation Engineer!

The High Performance Fabric Silicon Development Team within the Data Center Group is responsible for designing and delivering future generations of Intel's high performance interconnect components for large scale, cloud and enterprise customers. We have an opening for a Senior Pre-Silicon Validation Engineer on the next generation networking ASIC design. Responsibilities Include:Turn design documentation into a validation plan and executing the validation plan, Define and develop SystemVerilog-based validation environments and test suites, Write test cases and execute them in a simulation environment, and debug simulation failures, Define and run regressions, and triage regression failures, Document failures in a bug tracking database and drive them to closure, Mentor other engineers in using the verification infrastructure and creating test benches, Interact with architects and RTL design engineers in the definition of the validation environment and plan as well as resolution of simulation failures.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 6 years of industry work experience, Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 4 years of industry work experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 2 years of industry work experience.

  • 6 plus years of experience in development and deployment of verification strategies and methodologies across teams and organizations, and development of environments to test cases.

  • 6 plus years of hands-on verification experience using SystemVerilog and OVM/UVM.

  • 4 plus years of expert level knowledge of simulation tools such as VCS from Synopsys.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher preferred.

  • 6 plus years of experience in C/C++ is highly desirable.

  • 4 plus years of experience in network ASIC design verification is a plus, such as Ethernet, PCI-Express, InfiniBand, and SONET.

  • 4 plus years of use and proficiency in scripting languages and utilities including Make, Perl, Python, etc.

  • 4 plus years of experience with implementation of modern verification environments that include use of constrained-random stimulus and use of functional coverage.

  • 4 plus years of experience with creation of plans, schedules and cost estimates for design verification efforts.
