Intel NSG Worldwide MFG Fab Planning Engineer in Lehi, Utah

Job Description

NSG (Non-Volatile Memory Solution Group) is growing rapidly, with the objective of bringing memory centric solutions to the market leveraging our core technologies in the Optane and 3DNAND franchises. We are part of NSG Manufacturing, meaning our scope is everything from the start of an idea for product launch to delivery of the system level product to the customer. For this position, we are searching for a Fab Planning and Industrial Engineer to support the MFG growth.

You will be part of the Intel Memory Worldwide Manufacturing Fab Planning Team.

· Be responsible for creating planning standardization and metrics, maintaining MFG critical information, analyzing and optimizing the MFG Loading strategy towards Business objectives.

· This position is significantly influential in the success of the Intel memory business through Fab Capacity, Capital and space/resource optimization, and technology node transition planning.

Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

o This role requires a thorough understanding of the factory (Fab) environment and supply chain knowledge and apply them to identify and drive solutions. You will identify and solve highly complex problems in factory performance, loading, MFG performance, decision science and, supply and distribution network problems

o Develop metrics and tools to measure Factory capacity and capabilities. Use statistical analysis to optimize fab metrics through efficient loading allocations

o Liaise with Intel Memory Supply Chain, Business Unit, Finance to position MFG Fabs loading Plan of Records to efficiently support business needs

o Liaise with Roadmap, research & development, MOR Central IE team to plan for future technology node transition planning

o Scenario management. Coordinate scenarios representing changes in demand or supply. This includes both Tactical and Long Range planning scenarios, moving information through different decision process, communicating with all levels of leadership teams and effectively influences capital investments.Interact with management and executives comfortably

o Develop and improve Fab Planning business process and standards. Provide governance to the overall process and ensure that all stakeholders have input and understand expectations, and deliver the results on time

o Complete all required safety training and conduct all work in a safe manner

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

o BS or MS degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Science or related engineering degree

o 4+ years semiconductor industry experience is required

The ideal candidate requires:

o Deep experience with the entire range of manufacturing operations management, or Factory Capacity and Capital planning and execution

o Strong written and verbal communication skills. Be able to communicate highly complex information to influence internal and external audiences

o Proficient in application of statistics, data analysis, problem solving and project management.

o Intermediate knowledge of database management methods and techniques

o 2+ years of experience in data extraction and visualization software including Tableau, JMP, SAS, SQL, etc.

o 2+ years in advanced Microsoft Excel applications, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Solver, VBA

o Demonstrated skill at implementing business process improvement projects in support of fab performance and business needs

Preferred skills:

o Excellent multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills

o Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with supported areas and peers and gain their trust and respect
