Job Description

Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components.

Responsibilities may include:

  • The design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization.

  • Documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components.

  • Performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects.

  • Responding to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

  • Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

This candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of AMS based prototype circuits. Tasks will include design and validation of physical structures using industry standard CAD tool flows (e.g. Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

3 years of experience in:

  • Analog circuit design and/or ASIC design.

  • Cadence Innovus, Synopsys ICC2, and Mentor Calibre

  • APR layout concepts, DRC verification, LVS verification, and Full Chip design flows

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scripting languages: TCL, Perl or C++.
