Intel Entry Level Engineer Estimator in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

As a manager, set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. Responsible for managerial and technical direction for project estimates. Responsibilities inlude developing estimating standards, benchmarking, parametric modeling, defining models and assemblies, and other techniques and documents that provide the basis for defining Intel's Best in Class estimating. Responsibiliteis may also include Standard Estimating Softward System (SESS) security, defining the frequency and methods of standards updates, preparing or managing the preparation of Total Construction Cost Model (TCCM) estimates for projects / potential projects that are in the pre-positioning / pre-programming phase. Collaborates with others to define scope, delivery, and/or layout alternates that lead and influence attainment of competitive, market driven project costs and VE scenarios. Utilizes and manages internal resources or consultant resources and collaborates with other departments. May also manage team resourcing and training.

This junior engineering estimator will be supporting feasibility studies, benchmark data analytics, market analysis, engineering/cost model development. In addition, this individual will be responsible for supporting estimating data base management, file structures, and system architectural support. This individual will be working with experienced estimators and engineers to continue their development in the construction estimating and engineering along with training and career guidance.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc in Engineering, Construction Management, or other science related fields.

  • 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment and data analytics.

  • 1+ years of experience with MS Excel, MS Word, Power BI, and ability to adapt to industry estimating software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming skills in VB, SQL is a plus but not required
