Intel FW Development Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

As Firmware Developer Engineer you will gain experience in embedded architecture, external interfaces, product constraints, along with ability to develop architectures/features that meet these constraints while providing new value for the platform.

Some of your responsibilities are:

  • Work with source code development, review and maintenance (C/C++). Unit and system level test and verification (TCL, System C, Modelsim SE)

  • Work in lowlevel programming, system architecture, operating systems, device architecture, hardware design.

  • Work in storage interface standards such as SATA, SAS, PCIe, and Fiber Channel.

  • System level design and modeling manages design environment (make, Perl, SVN, Bugzilla). System integration using 8, 16, 32 bit microcontrollers.

  • Algorithm modeling, benchmarking, implementation, and digital signal processing.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences

This is an entry level position

Minimum requirements:

Must have a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent and 1+ years of work in the following:

  • C/C++ low level software development.

  • Structured software design and OO design techniques

  • Understanding of IA microprocessors and micro-controllers

  • Embedded firmware and RTOS applications

  • Integration, test and debug of embedded firmware systems.
