Intel Graphics and Media Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona
Responsible for developing multiple aspects of graphics software, display driver development and simulation environment development. Works with various partners to enhance and improve graphics performance on upcoming processor graphics devices by analyzing performance issues in software drivers and applications, implementing software performance improvements, and recommending future hardware & software improvements. Also responsible for providing internal and external feedback to implement upcoming graphics features in yet to be released OSes to ensure our hardware and software will function and perform as expected on next generation platforms as well as designing/developing/implementing graphics system level software for future platforms.
Required BS in CS/EE with 3+ years of related experience, or MS in CS/EE with 2 years of related experience
The ability to administrate in the Linux and windows operating systems and use debugging tools like gdb and winDBG.
An understanding of Image Video codecs like MPEG2, H264, H265, VP8 and VP9 is advantageous. As well as experience in industry standard APIs like DirectX, OpenGL, OpenCL, and Vulkan.
Understanding/knowledge in at least two of the following technologies: Image/Signal/Audio processing, Video codecs, computer vision, Deep Learning, Machine learning, 3D graphics is a nice to have.
The ability to perform application development and debug applications and kernel modules
Experience working directly with customers and/or supporting a product.
Experience in C/C++ and embedded software development is highly desirable
Strong debugging and problem solving skills is very desirable.
Ability to manage priorities and tasks
Excellent structured problem solving and/or customer support experience
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms
Ability to adapt and operate in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills with past experience writing documentation and
giving training presentations
