The North America Payroll Program Office is responsible for operations and quality management regarding the delivery and compliance of U.S. and Canada payroll. Distinct examples of this responsibility include regular payroll, multiple variable pay programs, foreign assignment payroll, mergers and acquisitions, payroll tax, timekeeping, and terminations. The scope of Intel's North American payroll is 50.000+ US and Canada employees.

Primary responsibilities attributable to this role include:

  • End-to-end payroll production system operations management, including process error resolution/problem solving, table and configuration updates, and vendor management.

  • Leadership regarding partnership with IT, both from production management and system initiatives.

  • Lead payroll system testing for system updates, patches, upgrades, and the implementation of new functionality

  • Leadership to drive US and Global Payroll systems related projects and initiatives

  • Partner with all applicable HR, external business partners, and external organizations to influence, towards process excellence, payroll services design and delivery

  • Drive and influence the successful integration of acquired employees

  • Business and data analysis to lead, influence and support management decision solution recommendations, process improvements, and problem resolution

  • Assist Regional/Global Payroll Program Office staff in delivering timely and accurate payroll payments to our employees

  • Conduct internal and external research and benchmarking on industry practices as needed

  • Leadership and influence regarding business partner initiatives that impact payroll

  • Partner with other program offices in association with project management as needed

  • Primary leadership in association with the mentorship, development, and training of payroll operations resources

  • Leadership and support regarding continuous process quality and optimization initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in business, finance, human resources or related field

  • 5+ years of related payroll experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Project management leadership experience in both medium and large projects, including scope, time, and quality including data quality management

  • Experience managing merger and acquisition integrations

  • Experience within a large corporate payroll processing environment internal payroll processing would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of Workday and PeopleSoft payroll systems

  • CPP certification

  • Six Sigma training certification and practical experience applying to business process management

  • Transition change management

  • Personal dedication to ensure payroll processes completed given the most extreme and challenging circumstances
