We require Technical Expertise and Scoping / Design Leadership to deliver successful construction projects that meet the demanding needs of our process technology.

The Global Construction Group is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the Construction Engineering Team. This opportunity to join the Construction Engineering Team is your chance to leverage your industry and technical expertise and project leadership skills to bring innovative engineering solutions to Intel's multidimensional challenges. We are looking for pioneering construction professionals with a passion for tackling age old problems in new and resourceful ways, who will work with our network of stakeholders to implement the most cost effective, reliable, and effective solutions on our projects.

As a Senior Project Engineer / Design Manager your focus will be up front in the project timeline.

You will work closely with Intel Engineers, Project Managers, Factory and Technology Stakeholders, Estimators, Schedulers, Procurement, and our External Construction Suppliers to deliver complex projects.

You will be responsible to leverage all of these stakeholders to deliver a complete scope baseline, control scope and change throughout the process, and provide a full and complete design that is ready for Construction.

We are looking for people with a proven track record of strong communication and influencing skills to thrive in our highly matrixed environment.

The ability to negotiate and influence a variety of personalities, cultures and customer groups with a major emphasis on senior management is important as will be your ability to distill complex concepts into presentations that excite.

Additionally the ability to develop a strong business acumen, understanding of factory and site operations, and technology development cycles and challenges is a must.

This role will focus on Design Management, as well as technical engineering expertise in Mechanical and Process Mechanical systems.

The successful candidate will also be familiar with all construction engineering disciplines and how they relate to one another.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

BS + 4 yrs. exp.; MS + 3+ yrs. exp. degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience managing design for multidiscipline projects, with specific expertise in design and sizing methods for Mechanical Wet and Dry systems, including Exhaust, HVAC, Chilled Water, Heating Water, Process Cooling Water, Vacuum, Bulk Gases, etc.

An understanding of utility modeling software and applications, and generation of utility models is preferred.

Reading and interpreting construction contract documents including 3D/BIM.

Disciplined approach to problem-solving methodologies, research strategies, logical reasoning, critical analysis of information and cooperative learning.

Effective at presenting complex recommendations in an effective way to crisply and concisely outline the value proposition and the business need that is being addressed.

Additional Experience and Qualifications:

10 years of experience in construction project engineering or similar.

Experience with applying production flow concepts outside a typical manufacturing processes

Experience working across functional and organizational boundaries.

Specific knowledge of semi-conductor industry or other clean environment industries ex. pharmaceutical, solar is considered a plus.

Professional engineering registration a plus.
