Intel Spares and Service Commodity Manager - Temporary Position in Phoenix, Arizona

Job DescriptionBe the point of escalation for Buyers and Stakeholders on spares availability and service support and own all aspects of working with supplier to have tool back up to production. Own writing and revising spares and service contracts. Establish business process with supplier to manage critical spares item forecast and capacity to mitigate potential supply line risks. Work with Buyers to develop and maintain performance metrics for supplier and communicate to Stakeholders on a frequent cadence. Be POC for supplier to approach to work on service support model, supply line, cost, and spares management strategies. Be connected to Stakeholder's requirements and work with supplier to improve business process, availability, and factory support. Develop business process to manage spares and service costs and communicate to Stakeholders and business partners on a frequent cadence. Identify and work with appropriate business partners and supplier to develop and execute cost reduction projects. The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Highly organized and efficient time management along with being able to pay attention to details.

  • Be able to work within a highly ambiguous environment along with being able to adapt to various situations and find solutions that are best for Intel.

  • Have great interpersonal and communication skills. Need to be comfortable mediating between Intel stakeholders and supplier in confrontational situations to find a win-win solution using data and analytical skills.

  • Ability to interface with cross-functional group at multiple levels.

  • Be able to create an effective presentation and deliver at peer and management levels.

  • Be able to influence team members, stakeholders, and supplier of right decision even if it is not the majority's view.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicant

M inimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree with seven years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.B.A. with five years of experience

  • Commodity Management experience.

  • Project or Program Management skills.

  • Experience in writing contracts and supplier negotiations

  • Experience with ROI's and should cost modeling.
