The TD Industrial Hygienist will be responsible for providing the data & developing equipment solutions to enable virtual factory Industrial Hygiene program compliance for process technology transfers. Maintain strong partnerships across the VF network and with appropriate regulatory agencies. Coordinating chemical approvals for their use across Intel Operation sites. Conduct technical equipment assessments to determine Industrial Hygiene program impacts of new or transferring materials or equipment. Responsible for the compliance of all applicable regulations, government requirements and Intel policies/programs. Influence organizations to maintain Industrial Hygiene program compliance. Teaming with other EHS professionals on a site, regional and global level to share learning, increase innovation and drive synergy throughout Intel. Partnering with site, regional and global stakeholders to increase Industrial Hygiene program awareness, tracking compliance, analyzing and driving continuous improvement efforts. Prepare and submit required Industrial Hygiene reports, indicators, and modifications with high degree of quality. Use data analysis to develop and design solutions and/or to address trends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Analyze and oversee all EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Keep abreast of new and existing relevant laws, rules and regulations, and takes actions appropriate to ensure timely compliance and communication to appropriate departments.
Serve as the liaison with local, state and federal agencies establishing a strong partnership and oversee the response to any inquiries or inspections.
Analyze, evaluate and provide site management with solid EHS guidance.
Understand the legal record retention guidelines for EHS documents and ensure they are in place at the site.
Identify, evaluate and recommend new strategic, creative approaches to safety and industrial hygiene.
Provide strategic EHS direction and leadership to all EHS initiatives and business partners.
Conduct technical assessments such as chemical, noise, lighting surveys, radiation, indoor air quality and other relevant workplace exposure assessments.
Conduct audits of applicable EHS programs and provide written reports of findings and recommendations for improvement.
Bachelors of Science degree (Masters of Science preferred) + 4 yrs. exp.: MS + 3 yrs. exp. in Industrial Hygiene or related field.
4+ years experience in EHS, or 5+ years with Masters of Science degree.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP);Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation preferred.
Deep regulatory knowledge including OSHA, OR-OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards applicable to EHS compliance.
Excellent communication, advanced time management, team building and problem solving skills.
Effectively communicate (verbal, written, and electronic) with all levels of management and individuals of diverse disciplines and cultural background.
Able to lead and influence teams, lead incident investigations and work closely with key customers on EHS initiatives.
Well rounded in the EHS career field and be prepared to take on any challenge.
Desire to employ new and innovative ways to ensure flawless Health and Safety compliance.
Ability to synthesize and report technical safety and Industrial Hygiene requirements in an accurate, clear, and streamlined manner.
