If you are a senior engineer looking for a place to spread your wings, join Intel's Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) as a performance modeling specialist where you'll be challenged to improve next generation FPGA platforms through performance modeling and prediction of FPGA fabric logic, transceiver devices and associated platform interconnects . You'll decompose acceleration algorithms, identify and remove bottlenecks, analyze the performance on current generation architecture, create platform level models to accurately predict performance, correlate models and then use the models to predict behavior on next generation platforms. Based on what you uncover, you'll be influencing the development of new FPGA devices that will propel success in new markets like cloud services, communication, and edge computing. Must be able to lead teams, collaborate, build consensus, and influence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in FPGA, ASIC or SoC architecture design

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in server architecture and design

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in measurement of power and performance on FPGA, ASIC or SoC devices or platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in microarchitecture including: Memory subsystems, shared virtual memory, and memory coherence; IO technologies including PCIe, DDR, storage and networking (MAC/PHY); CPU basic operation and classic acceleration techniques (GPGPU, ASICs, etc.)

  • Development of architectural requirements for FPGA, ASIC or SoC devices and platforms

  • Providing technical guidance to product planners, marketers, business owners, etc.

  • Effective communication skills, presenting internally, at technical conferences, trade shows, and customer discussions.
