We're looking for an energized and talented verification engineer to design and implement novel end to end performance verification test systems of multi-mode cellular modem products focusing on technologies such as LTE and 5G NR and new features associated to said technologies.
The Performance Test Engineer will take a leading role in test automation methodologies worldwide. The main aspects of the position will be centered around:
Development of novel test cases: Work together with fellow verification engineers and with system engineers in defining and developing new test procedures and method to verify the performance of new features. Use technical proficiency in wireless technologies including LTE and 5G NR to make sure that the test procedures are sane and make sure that the test implementation is fully focused on testing the key and important aspects of the target features.
Speed of implementation: Use broad practical knowledge of systems associated to end to end wireless testing such as control of IP networks, control of engineering samples and practical knowledge of test development tools such as Python, Perl, Matlab.
Efficiency of test system: Help optimize Intel's test infrastructure, significantly contributing in cost reductions. Utilize skills in planning, and design of complex system to achieve that goal.
Bachelor with 5+ years of experience or Master (preferred) or PhD from a top educational institute with minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in the following :
Designing and implementing performance throughput, call performance test systems involving Network vendors infrastructure such as eNBs
Designing complex, highly automatized systems involving network equipment such as eNBs
Handling and controlling Modem and RF products engineering sample
Understanding of wireless channel fading and underlying mathematics
Knowledge of LTE specifications and insight into 5G NR technologies
Understanding of fundamental aspects of LTE receiver
General telecommunications testing infrastructure:
Handling and controlling third party devices such as iOS, Android devices
Experience in controlling and utilizing wide test devices and test equipment: Spirent, Keysight, R&S
Practical working knowledge IP networks: Configuration, routing IP flows in complex setups
Practical knowledge of network analysis tools: QXDM, Wireshark, Nemo
Programming experience with python, Java, C++, Perl- Matlab
