Job Description

The Ethernet Protocol Lead will use deep Ethernet knowledge to architect end-to-end Ethernet silicon solutions, including PMA, PCS, FEC, MAC, 1588, and TSN. These solutions are highly configurable to enable the wide variety of customers using these products in markets such as 5G, Data Center, and NFV. This role is in Intel Programmable Solutions Group PSG, and focuses in IP and solutions for FPGAs, including ASIC and FPGA logic. Your responsibilities will include the following and more:Explore and define Ethernet use cases for FPGAs Use deep understanding of Ethernet specifications and customers use cases to architect the Ethernet solution. Document and review functional specifications for various elements of the Ethernet solution. Document and review test plans for elements of the Ethernet solution as well as the full end-to-end solution. Interact with multiple technologists in the company and within the industry as well as between developers and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Represent Intel on Ethernet standards committees. Educate and mentor staff for technical and professional growth

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in Ethernet development. Experience with Ethernet IP architecture, development, verification, and rollout, for FPGAs or ASICsExperience with digital logic design with RTL Verilog or VHDL. Experience with hardware debugging and validation using equipment such as function generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes. Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration skills, and cross-functional leadership
