Intel FPGA IP Solution Engineer in San Jose, California
Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) development. Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. Defines module interfaces/formats for simulation. Performs Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and sub-systems into SoC full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for SoCs. Contributes to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Performs all aspects of the SoC design flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing. Analyzes equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results. May also review vendor capability to support development.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience or master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of experience on ASIC or FPGA hardware
In depth knowledge of at least one of high speed serial protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, CPRI etc…
Skill with Verilog language and logic simulation
Must be able to handle hardware testing
Willingness to work in interdisciplinary team or among interdisciplinary teams and have strong interpersonal skill
Takes initiative and can work effectively in a team environment
Nice to have
Sound technical knowledge and grasp of one or more functional areas such as Embedded Systems, Cache Coherency and FPGA
Good knowledge on PCIe Protocol
Fluency in a programming language (C, C++, perl, python, tcl, etc…)
Experience in working with hardware debug tools (Protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc…)
