Intel HW Design Methodology Engineer in San Jose, California
Works in PSG's HW methodology team to deploy enhanced solutions for PSG's FPGA development. Collaborates with project design teams to understand existing pain points and to formulate solutions using existing tools/flows. Else, when existing solutions are not sufficient, drives enhancements that alleviate the project pain point. Leverages personal design experience to formulate practical methodology solutions for real world situations. Remains up to date with external vendor solutions and helps to integrate those solutions in PSG's FPGA product methodology where appropriate. Design Automation Engineers are advocates of applying design methodologies to help execute projects effectively and successfully with high quality.
Must have the following skills and knowledge:
Minimum 5 years of experience
Strong background in contemporary ASIC design flows
Experience in floorplanning
Working knowledge of physical implementation and timing closure
Strong skillset in scripting
Nice to have skills and knowledge:
Practical skills in Tcl as an EDA tool user
Tool/flow expert user within a design team (able to help/guide other team members)
Required level of education: BS degree in EE, CE, or CS
