Intel HW/SW FPGA IP Engineer in San Jose, California

Job Description

The Programmable IP Engineering team delivers cutting-edge Protocol IPs tailored for Intel FPGA technology. Our team is looking for great software and hardware IP and logic design engineers to join our team. As design engineer, you will work closely with IP Engineering Architects and Management to develop next generation FPGA based IP cores. You will work closely with an energetic engineering team to drive innovation as you solve challenging problems, while pushing the technology boundaries in building these protocol IPs. The engineer talent will oversee development of logic design, develop software device drivers that interact with the system, and helps in hardware validation and debug of next generation FPGAs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience or master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience on ASIC or FPGA hardware

  • Experienced with Verilog/SystemVerilog language and logic design and simulation and good knowledge of RTL development

  • Good skills in programming language (C, C++, perl, python, tcl, etc...)

  • Experience with hardware testing and debug tools (Protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc...)

  • Takes initiative and can work effectively in a team environment

Preferred qualification

  • Knowledge of high speed serial protocols such as PCIe

  • Familiarity with Linux kernel and device driver design.

  • Familiarity with Embedded Systems design and development

  • Experience with FPGA based system bring up and validation, software integration and qualification
