Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Center Group (DCG) as a Packet Processing Architect!
The connectivity group is driving next-generation networking technologies to meet the needs of the ever-evolving cloud. Be a part of this revolution! As a Packet Processing Architect, you will be responsible for delivering packet processing solutions at the silicon and software level for cloud providers and cloud environments across a range of discrete products and IPs, spanning software and silicon. You will participate and lead discussions in cross-functional architecture and engineering groups to balance trade-offs across performance, scalability, reliability and security. In addition, you will engage with customers and internal stakeholders to monitor and influence evolving approaches for delivering Iaas, Paas and FaaS services at scale and map these approaches into requirements and architecture for next generation networking silicon and software.

The Data Center Group (DCG) drives new products technologies from high-end co-processors for supercomputers to low-energy systems for enterprise and the cloud, as well as solutions for big data and intelligent devices. The group is a worldwide organization that develops the products and technologies that power nine of every 10 servers sold worldwide.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 9 years of related work experience, Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 6 years of related work experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 4 years of related work experience.
9 plus years of experience and in-depth knowledge of cloud networking technologies, protocols & software stacks, usage models and deployment strategies.
6 plus years of proven written and oral communication skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
10 plus years of experience in packet processing solutions.
Experience working with silicon engineering teams and delivering silicon products.
Experience delivering software solutions and frameworks for networking OS interfaces, middle-ware APIs, control-plane or orchestration.
