Job Description

Platform architect to drive data acceleration platform definition, development, and deployment strategy. Responsible for specific project platform architecture definition, trade-off assessment, engineering design translation and recommendation with senior family architect guidance.


Minimum requirements:

  • BS Degree with 5+ years in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering or MS Degree with 3+ years.

  • 3+ years experiences in two or more protocols of proprietary UPI, IAL, NVLink, Infinity Fabric, Open GenZ, CCIX, OpenCAPI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A good understanding of architecture from platform level and system level, with good knowledge of scale up and scale out configurations.

  • Coherent and Non-coherent interfaces, and applications in FPGA based accelerators. Compare and Contrast with GPU based accelerators.

  • Good understanding of performance metrics bandwidth, latency, etc. and be able to efficiently translate the metrics over to a specific FPGA workload and application. Compare and Contrast with GPU based accelerators.

  • Rack architecture, disaggregation concepts, TOR, EOR switching, node level, rack level and cluster/DC level architecture.

  • Networking protocols IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, OIF-CEI-Host system CPU, PCH, Persistent and Non-Persistent Memory, IO, Storage, Networking, Fabric technologies and FPGA system understanding and experience

  • Experience designing with and/or programming FPGAs

  • Industry awareness of interconnect roadmaps

  • Basic understanding of system architecture and/or micro-architecture for processors, servers, and/or FPGAs
