Intel Senior Manager ARM CPU Subsystem in San Jose, California

Job Description

This position will be responsible for the complete development of a device using an ARM CPU subsystem. The candidate will lead a team which will create specifications and support the integration of a Hard-IP ARM Core in a new platform. In this highly visible role, the candidate will work with various internal and external teams to make sure the most optimal configuration for the ARM Subsystem is selected. Other responsibilities for this position are development and maintenance of complex IP cores like PCIe PCS as well as support for customers on integrating the ARM CPU in their designs.

Essential Functions

  • Create complete specifications for the ARM CPU subsystem platform; this includes clearrequirements to the implementation team and tracking of open items

  • Define usage model for the customers once the product is completed; this includes specifications forthe SW-API and development of soft IPs to simplify access to all ARM CPU features and peripherals

  • Drive integration of the ARM CPU Subsystem in the array including definition of the area,layout of IP as well as requirements for connectivity of the IP to the fabric

  • Define and drive development of Hard IP peripherals for the ARM CPU Subsystem like PCIe or DDR4;work with the implementation team to achieve maximum required speed with minimal area and latency

  • Create various FW prototype functions to help customers develop code for the ARM CPU

  • Develop complete tutorials from RTL to GDSII with various use cases of the ARM CPU Subsystems leveraging internal tools flow

  • Define all ARM Subsystem power domains and provide detailed specifications to theimplementation team for power management strategies

  • Develop, validate and implement complex IPs in the devices like PCIe PCS

  • Evaluate and propose improvements to the next generation devices supporting optimal implementation for latest IP trends in the industry used for Machine Learning or Blockchain

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional technical environment. This role routinely uses standard office

equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.

Travel

Up to 20% travel is expected for this position.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of semiconductor experience

  • ARM CPU SubSystem experience

  • BSEE or related degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • MSEE or related degree is a plus

  • 15+ years of ARM CPU SubSystem experience

  • Experience building and leading an engineering team
