Intel Sr SoC Design Engineer in San Jose, California
The PSG Technology and Pathfinding Group is responsible for silicon process and Package technology assessment, co-development, and co-optimization to ensure the FPGA products meeting the market requirements in terms of power, performance, and cost.
As a Senior SoC Design Engineer, you will:
Work as a highly proficient technical individual contributor to develop and evaluate methodologies and benchmarks suitable for silicon process power/performance assessment for FPGA.
Lead and participate path finding projects involving cross-functional and cross-BU teams including process technology development, product design, package, and business units.
Develop and lead test chips tape out to validate critical FPGA IPs and circuits to uncover yield issues to improve A0 quality.
The candidate’s minimum qualifications will include the following:
MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
Deep knowledge on CMOS device physics and experience with transistor and BEOL spice models for advanced processes (10nm, 7nm).
Hands-on experience on digital and analog circuit design/verification, knowledge on FPGA architecture is a plus.
Hands-on experience with industry EDA tools including Hspcie, Spectre, Finesim StarRC, and layout tools including Cadence Virtuoso, VXL. Experience with lynx, Scarlet, and genesis is a plus.
Highly proficient with script (Perl, Python, etc) skills.
Other Preferred Technical Skills:
Good knowledge on Design-Process Co-optimization for Transistor/Interconnect, RF/SRAM and Vmin.
Hans-on automation for building and analyzing large data sets, spice simulation and data analysis.
Experience in product design migration/scaling, floorplan options, Power/Performance trade-off
Hands-on experience with Intel FEM for process/product PPA analysis
