The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG, formerly Altera) seeks a Senior Level Strategic Software Planner for the Software Component of Intel’s Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Solutions.
The Strategic Software Planner is a critical, senior level role within PSG’s Product Planning organization. As PSG boldly moves ahead to provide higher value to our customers through innovation in FPGA design methodology we are growing our team of Strategic Planners for the Intel PSG Software Solutions team.
This role affords a great opportunity to make a disruptive and positive impact to PSG's near and long-term business goals. The position will take on challenging and often ambiguous problems, applying sound business judgment in defining solutions and effectively communicating complex issues to audiences that may include senior executives, Marketing, Engineering, Sales & Customers.
This role works with PSG’s strategy, marketing and engineering teams, visits customers to gain strategic insights and directions on their FPGA design flow methodology, manages the FPGA EDA product planning schedule, analyzes feedback from a variety of data sources across Intel and translates customer requirements into product specifications for the engineering development teams.
Generate structured Product Requirements based upon feedback from customers, internal teams and PSG business partners.
Develop EDA Design Flow feature roadmaps and communicate the roadmaps both within Intel and to key customers.
Manage the product definition cycle and change requests to the deliverables.
Network and coordinate with Business Stakeholders to continuously drive customer requirements into the product definitions and FPGA EDA design Flow roadmap.
Strategically interface and align across broader Intel on the FPGA design Flow roadmap.
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field of study (Masters Degree is preferred)
10+ years of total experience in a semiconductor or related role (ie. related to FPGA, ASIC, HW, SW, EDA, etc.)
Experience interacting with customers
Experience as an EDA Software Planner
FPGA or ASIC design background
5+ years of EDA (FPGA or ASIC) experience (ex. FPGA/ASIC design engineer, AE, FAE, etc.)
