Intel Transceiver IP User Interface Design Engineer in San Jose, California
As a Transceiver User Interface Design Engineer, you will be part of a wonderful team of professionals. You will define and develop software user interfaces to unlock the capabilities of the SERDES hardware to end users as well as protocol IP teams. You will also build soft IP blocks to improve functionality and usability for end users. You will gain an understanding of Transceiver architecture as you work to create an interface that bridges the hardware to how the protocol IP teams use it as well as end customers who want to flexibly use the hardware. You will attempt to balance flexibility of use with simplicity of design and be striving to develop something intuitive to use. If you have a love for both software and hardware, a desire to be part of a great team, and a desire to work on cutting edge transceiver products, the Intel PSG Transceiver PHY IP team may be a good fit for you.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant programming experience with software languages(like TCL and Perl) as well as HDL
User Interface and API design experience
Proficient with scripting language including Perl and/or TCL-comfortable working with Verilog and System Verilog
Proficiency with C++, Java, and Python are a plus
Experience with: Transceiver Architecture is a plus
Experience with developing and debugging test benches and designs using ModelSim, VCS, and/or NCSim is a plus
