Intel VP, Programmable Hardware Engineering in San Jose, California
We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead the next wave of growth in PSG's Programmable Hardware Engineering team in San Jose and Austin. This leader will drive integrated circuit development and innovation activities, reporting directly to the VP/GM of PSG Engineering.
As the VP of Intel Programmable Hardware Engineering (PHE), this person will lead 750+ people (both direct and matrix), responsible for the architecture and development of Intel's FPGA fabric, chiplets, and product portfolio. Intel's FPGA product portfolio delivers TTM, flexibility and scalability while reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) - a key differentiating factor in market segments from the Edge through Communication Networks to the Datacenter. Here are the key roles and responsibilities:
Lead development of high-performance FPGA fabric architecture and product portfolio. Plan, resource and direct activities in the Programmable Hardware Engineering function to meet schedules, standards and cost
Identify and analyze product development issues, plans, tasks, and solutions. Use judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause significant impact across multiple PSG and Intel organizations and products.
Develop overarching product plans that align with PSG solutions and growth strategies, delivering competitive differentiation and TAM expansion.
Build and retain a high performing organization which values diversity and inclusion. Cultivate and reinforce appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Build a result-oriented organization to operate in a matrix environment requiring collaboration and cross-business unit influence.
Establish and oversee standards of excellence for group performance, provide guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues.
Develop strong partnerships with technology development, planning, business divisions, customer experience group, sales, marketing, and solutions teams.
Work across Intel to leverage the broader IP portfolio, influence technology development, and drive alignment of standards and initiatives, resulting in a strong FPGA roadmap as part of the broader Intel portfolio.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing a 400+ person organization. Demonstrated success in an existing executive role and have a history of accomplishments with FPGA domain expertise realized through senior management positions.
10+ Experience overseeing the definition and development of semiconductor products.
10+ Years experience delivering and ramping silicon and system level solutions to scale. Able to manage a variety of complex functions and teams supporting a diverse FPGA product portfolio that span a wide range of markets from communications, embedded technology, industrial uses to data center servers, automotive and military applications.
