Job Description

The Application Engineer acts as a product evangelist, program/project manager and a marketer. Application Engineers are the key technical interface and play a key role in winning new designs. AE's work directly with the customer's engineering teams, understanding the nuance of customer wants vs. customer requirements, while supporting the needs of the business. The AE will report to Application Engineer Manager and align resources in validation and test with key customer design wins.


Minimum Qualifications:

BS with 6+ years of experience or MS with 4+ years of relevant experience in Application Engineering/Field Applications for an Optics/Optical Transceiver Company

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in technical sales, applications, technical marketing, technical product marketing or sales management preferred

Integral contributions to Key Design Wins in Data Center Networking for Cloud Customers and Networking Equipment Manufacturers preferred

Experience in optical transceiver design, manufacturing or module FW preferred
