Intel CAD Principal Engineer in Santa Clara, California
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate candidate with hands-on experience and expertise in CAD infrastructure, physical design flow and methodology development and deployment.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Developing a strategy and vision for Intel RTL2GDS environment
Developing and delivering effective and efficient Implementation tools, flows and methodologies.
Managing technical vendor interactions
Working across multiple geos with Industry leading technologists
Driving corporate initiatives to advance the state of CAD tools, flows and methodologies
Principal Engineers at Intel are active technical leaders inside and outside the company. Activities include participation in major industry and academic conferences, voting membership in international standards committees, generation of patents and technical papers.
BS/MS Degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
15+ years of relevant domain experience and 5+ years of experience managing large (50+) cross site teams
Experience in various aspects of CAD especially in physical design and implementation
Experience with Synopsys tools such as ICC2 and 14nm/10nm/7nm process technologies a plus
Experience with make files, Lynx and/or flow tracer is a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead and foster senior technical leaders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to make strategic presentations to senior management.
Willingness to travel. Role requires occasional domestic and international travel as needed.
Demonstrated ability to deal with external vendors and suppliers
Ability to lead cross-organizational strategic initiatives
