Intel Customs Compliance Manager in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

Intel Corporation is an American multinational corporation headquartered in Santa Clara, California looking for a Customs Compliance Manager to join Intel's leading Global Trade organization. As a Customs Compliance Manager, the role will require partnering with all levels within the corporate environment and support the business by making product HTS classification and country of origin decisions by applying technical knowledge with product classification and rules of origin expertise.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner within the Global Trade organization in making compliant HTS and COO decisions on new and emerging technologies

  • Build strong internal partnerships to enable new business models with compliant trade solutions

  • Write classification white paper and reasonable care documents

  • Support other areas of trade compliance as needed, such as marking requirements and duty drawback.

  • Act in a pivotal role for ensure compliance with AD/CVD regulations

  • Create and administer global compliance policies

  • Take an advisory role regarding FTAs and preferential programs. Lead execution of key programs as necessary

  • Support government advocacy and participate in industry associations in semiconductor and consumer electronics.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master Degree in related field

  • A minimum of seven years of experience in the area of trade compliance in technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • U.S. Customs broker's license (preferred)

Knowledge And Skills

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of the US Customs Code of Federal Regulations Title 19

  • Displays previous experience in customs rules of origin, HTS product classification and customs valuation rules.

  • Ability to recommend and drive decisions while ensuring compliance with customs regulations, rules and policies

  • Ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams across multiple geographies

  • Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with senior stakeholders

  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, challenging environment where managing multiple urgent tasks is routine

  • Strong program management skills, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must have excellent analytical, datamining and problem-solving skills.

  • Must have strong mindset towards advancing programs using emerging technologies

  • Performs with a high level of accuracy and quality

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of SAP
