Intel Digital Marketing Attorney in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

The Intel Legal Department is looking for a creative and driven lawyer with deep digital marketing experience to join our legal team as a Marketing Attorney. This position will play a strategic role supporting Intel's digital marketing efforts.

We are looking for a subject matter expert in the areas of privacy, data security, e-commerce, advertising, marketing and promotions.

The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated experience working cross-functionally, as the attorney in this role will need to regularly liaise and partner with marketing, engineering, IT and privacy groups to keep track of developments in this rapidly evolving area of the law.

In this position you will provide legal support to the marketing department and its senior legal team on projects and transactions that are important for Intel's success.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • JD degree and a state bar membership.

  • 7+ years of relevant legal experience for the role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep digital media and e-commerce expertise

  • Familiarity with claim substantiation and disclosures

  • Experience drafting and negotiating agreements with third parties related to marketing, advertising, and promotions including related privacy and data security provisions

  • Experience with privacy law, big data, and data security issues

  • Experience working closely and collaboratively with IT/IS and marketing professionals

  • Familiarity with basic copyright law, trademark law, and rights clearances is a plus

  • Experience conducting live trainings, and developing online trainings, on the topics of social media and other areas of digital media and other online business activities

  • Excellent project management skills

  • High level of analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, and the ability to solve problems proactively and with business acumen

  • Strong communication, collaboration and negotiation skills

  • Excellent legal and business judgment

  • Ability to communicate clear, concise and practical legal advice

  • Desire to learn from senior Intel business lawyers and develop new skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in teams of lawyers and non-legal professionals

  • Demonstrated ability to gain trust at and work with all levels of an organization

  • Talent for managing competing priorities
