Intel Director, Enterprise/Cloud Segment in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

Seeking a driven and self-motivated individual to join Intel's Data Center / Network Platforms Group as Segment Manager focused around driving network solutions focused on end Enterprise / Cloud customers. This person will have a key role in driving network transformation as we move from an era of physical appliances and "old" IP networks to virtual appliances and the "new" IP networks within a Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) / Layer 3-7 services, Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), and multi-cloud paradigm. The qualified candidate will have an understanding of network architecture options as well as respective building blocks (e.g. switches, routers, application delivery controllers, network security, network/security analytics etc.). It is expected that this person can partner well within Intel and with industry leaders to ultimately deliver impactful solutions to end customers. This person will drive end-customer focus and new network IT usages around offerings that would include VMware, Cisco, Red Hat, and CSP solutions/offerings. It's important that this candidate can work well across Intel groups as well as with industry hardware and software partners to deliver the most compelling Intel based solutions. This person, in partnership with the segment Platform Solution Architects, will be responsible for driving the key usage models to enable the most effective solutions for end-users and will drive collateralization / messaging on how Intel platform technologies such as IA, chipset / acceleration, I/O, switch / vSwitch, virtualization, containers, platform QoS, DPDK, QuickAssist, Hyperscan and/or other technologies can help transform the network experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with network analytics, security and application delivery for Enterprise / Cloud customers.

  • Experience in the data center, networking, and/or cloud industries highly desired

  • TCO / OpEx modeling

  • Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous and dynamic environment

  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment


9+ years developing and driving market / segment strategy and plans (include: market research, industry analysis, strategy formulation, product and platform definition management)

  • 3 or more years of experience in customer / ecosystem engagement

  • 3 or more years of experience in working with Enterprise IT, Cloud and/or network solutions
