Job Description

Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization

  • Documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout

  • Modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components

  • Perform developmental and/or test work, review product requirements and logic diagrams

  • Plan and organize design projects or phases of design projects

  • Respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur

  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline with minimum 2 years working experience architecture and logic design for high speed serial IO

  • Working experience with front end tools VCS, CDC, Verdi and Spyglass

  • Good understanding of power domain, power gating and UPF coding for power domain partitioning

  • Logic debug experience for pre-si simulation failures
