Intel GNSS Firmware Engineer in Santa Clara, California

Job Description

Intel is searching for an experienced self-motivated engineer to join the GNSS Measurement Engine (ME) Firmware team.

The engineer will be responsible for:

  • Developing methods and algorithms for the reception and measurement of GNSS Satellite signals

  • Design, review, develop, and implement features and algorithms for GNSS in embedded environment

  • Development on multiple environments:

  • PC with full HW simulation, C language, FPGA board and/or the final product

  • Work closely with system, HW/ASIC, and validation teams to complete features and drive it through release process

  • Validate ME behavior and debug firmware/hardware issues utilizing logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, scope and other lab debug tools in real-time environment

  • Be a team player, work with many internal interfaces System teams, Software teams, VLSI, Validation and others, and external interfaces customers, platform teams.


Minimum Requirements:

  • MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with the following experience with GNSS programs

  • 5+ years’ experience in algorithms for GNSS in an embedded environment.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Real time Embedded code design and development/debug for high quality GNSS products

  • Experience in programming in 'C' and/or C++ language

  • Experience with ARC and ARM

  • Develop and debug tools such as logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, scope etc.

Preferred Experience

  • Signal processing experience
