Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components. Responsibilities may include:
Design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization Documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification
Evaluation of semiconductor devices and components
Performing developmental and/or test work
Reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams
Planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects
Respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur
Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.
Candidate must have a Bachelor, Master, or PhD Degree in Electronics, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience with digital design backend tools such as:
Design Compiler, IC Compiler2, PrimeTime and other sign-off tools
Complex SoCs Understanding of CTS
Different clocking techniques in ICC for skew and delay balancing, multiple clock complexity
PnR congestion analysis
Analysis and resolving floor planning issues
UPF Low power design techniques
Understanding and hand-on experience of digital design sign-off tools
Participant in multiple complete rtl2gds2 implementations in block or full-chip level
Strong scripting ability in TCL, Perl and shell
