Job Description

Intel Product Assurance and Security Group's mission includes protecting our products and our customers' data and detecting and responding to new and emerging threats. In this architecture role you will guide the development of architecture and microarchitecture to provide protection against security vulnerabilities amidst an evolving security landscape.

Responsibilities include:

  • Diving into security incident response by leading technical response teams

  • Analyzing existing and new architecture features for security vulnerabilities

  • Inventing new architectures to provide resilience against attacks

  • Working closely with diverse engineering stakeholders around the company to further IPAS's mission.

In this role, you will work with processor, SOC, platform and software architecture and engineering teams to create a robust and secure set of silicon, platform and software features. You will be called upon to dig into extremely complex challenges involving hardware, firmware and software to find root cause, synthesize remediation, and propose future architecture enhancements to address all of Intel's roadmap.

Principal Engineers at Intel are active technical leaders inside and outside the company. Activities include participation in major industry and academic conferences, voting membership in international standards committees, generation of patents and technical papers. An employee's manager must confirm participation in TLp nomination process prior to job code assignment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering, and at least 10 years of experience in VLSI/system product development in an architecture, implementation and/or validation role.

  • Candidates require an in depth understanding of microprocessor architecture, platform, chipset and/or SOC microarchitecture.

  • Excellent understanding of existing hardware/software interfaces, power management hooks and security implications is essential.

  • Experience in security, cryptography or assurance is a plus.

  • The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication, team work and technical leadership skills. In particular they should have demonstrated an ability to prioritize and up-level issues to brief executive management MCM.
