Intel Lead TCAD Engineer in Santa Clara, California
The Intel NVM Non Volatile Memory Process Technology Development group is responsible for developing state of the art NVM memory technologies like 3D-NAND & 3D-Xpoint. As a TCAD Device Engineer, you will be working with technology development team to research and develop next generation 3D memory technologies, low-voltage/ high-voltage transistors, and interconnect stacks with performance specification based on the needs of the product, as defined by design/product teams.
The job also involves design of test structures, interaction with fab device engineers, and design of experiments to validate and optimize the new devices. As the lead TCAD engineer, you will help model and debug Si issues, suggest ways to improve, and feed-back Si results to improve model accuracy. Strong communication and influencing skills will be necessary.
Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field with strong emphasis on Semiconductor Physics.
8+ years of relevant industry experience. Industry experience must include modeling and characterization of semiconductor devices. Must be proficient in use of industry standard process and device simulation tools from vendors (Synopsys, Silvaco, etc.).
Ability to segment and trouble-shoot complex problems is strongly desired.
Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, reliability and process technologies used in memory, logic, or analog/mixed-signal applications. Non-volatile memory device experience such as 3D-NAND or RRAM is a strong plus.
Expert in characterization of semiconductor devices.
Experience with ESD devices for circuit protection.
