Job Description

The Open Source Technology Center Licensing & Compliance team and the OS PDT are Intel's primary open source compliance subject matter experts. Our expertise is in demand across the company we engage with every Intel BU on open source policy and process, reviewing hundreds of projects each year and providing consultative advice on a variety of matters to ensure legal compliance and community acceptance for Intel code. While our existing program is comprehensive, we can do more--starting with increasing our audit and enablement capabilities. As a member of the Licensing & Compliance team, you will play a vital role in helping all of Intel improve its open source compliance practices. Your responsibilities will include the following development and deployment of tooling to support automated generation of compliance artifacts--making it faster and easier for Intel to successfully meet legal requirements. You will support the post-release audit of Intel software to ensure we are fulfilling all open source software license obligations and role modeling community best practices. Other responsibilities will include delivery of open source training, open source policy and process evangelism and open source project review and approval.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous school, industry jobs and/or research experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or related discipline with 5 years of experience or MS in computer science or relevant experience with 4 years of experience

  • Deep understanding of open source communities and principles.

  • Familiarity with software development and release processes both open source and proprietary. General programming experience.

  • At least a working knowledge of intellectual property patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets; deeper knowledge strongly preferred.

  • A true commitment to ethics.

  • Ability to simplify and to convey complex technologies and strategies in compelling written and verbal presentations including keynotes and compliance seminars to internal and external executive audiences.

  • Strong program management skills and results orientation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ Years of relevant industry experience
